I agree with all of these, but #5, namely because I am the one that brings my 3 year old to Starbucks. Not to hang out, he just likes the banana walnut loaf. And he doesn't rink Fraps, he gets a kid-sized hot chocolate! I've never actually seen rambunctious kids there, but there not all bad at SBUX~ :)

Hi Hazel, I don't necessarily go to Starbucks just to study. Like others, I go there simply to have a coffee and/or catch up with friends. I have no problem with people chatting it up, as long as they keep their business their business (#2's seems to like to let everyone know what they are preaching). And not talk so loud that everyone becomes a part of their conversation (as is the case with #6's).

Another thing, it's a coffee shop, why have your kids running around the place like it's a playground.

And I should also not that Starbucks is not a public place, it's a private business and they are nice enough to allow us to use their space. Having said that, that's why I get annoyed with people that go there and buy nothing while still utilizing the space (the #3's).

I myself find it hard to study in these situations also,
but starbucks is a public place after all, and a cafe that most people go to with friends for the sake of conversing. So if it annoys you, why don't you go to a library.
