RateTea: Drink Tea and Then Review It

Posted in Products, Sites, Tea by Coty | Tags: ,

If you read this blog then chances are that you enjoy drinking tea every so often, or maybe even daily. Surely, with every sip you formulate some kind of opinion of that tea. You might love it, you might hate it, or you might be indifferent to it. You might have a few tips when it comes to brewing a particular loose leaf tea. Maybe the tea might be perfect for early risers or maybe it might be perfect for those who like a late night cup. The point is, each cup of tea is unique and with uniqueness come opinions.

RateTea might not be the first tea review site but it is a place where anyone can rate, review and learn more about teas. The new site has to date cataloged over 3,478 teas and counting. Why not add your opinion to the mix the next time you brew your next cup of loose leaf tea.

Mypressi Handheld Espresso Machine

Posted in Coffee, Cookware, Products by Coty | Tags: ,

You might be familiar more with ThinkGeek as a place to purchase geeeky apparel or gadgets. You might not know that they have an entire section of their store devoted to caffeinated goods! That’s right, alongside their caffeinated candy, drinks and lollipops, you’ll find this impressive little device – the Mypressi Handheld Espresso Machine.

“Consequently, coffee snobs (we can call them that because many of us are thus self-professed) require a lot of precision in their brewing instruments. Take this new portable espresso dispenser, for example! Many espresso machines of the hand-pump variety give a strong burst of pressure to force the water through the grounds, but the pressure dies off quickly, leaving your espresso a muddy mess of over and under-extracted coffee. The Mypressi Handheld Espresso Machine uses canisters of compressed N20 to give you a half-dozen or more strong pulls at an even 9-bar (135psi) from beginning to end. The resulting cup is hot, flavorful, with a mild bitterness and strong crema.”

Buy the Mypressi Handheld Espresso Machine from ThinkGeek for $169.99.

LOST Polar Beer Pint Glasses

Posted in Cups and Mugs, Products by Coty | Tags: , , ,

There are only a few more episodes left of the final season of ABC’s hit series, LOST, and many people (myself included) are anxious for the series finale. With that season finale, however, comes the end to one of my favorite shows on Television. Having said that, you better start preparing now for your Lost finale show party now! And what better way to serve ice cold beer than with these custom LOST Polar Beer Pint Glasses by designer Ian Leino.

“Recent archaeological expeditions in Tunisia have uncovered unusual drinking vessels that have puzzled top scientists. While their shape indicates that they were for daily use rather than holy occasions, it is the ghostly visage of a polar bear emblazoned on their surface that has befuddled some of the brightest brains in the field. Whatever their original purpose, our recreation of these artifacts include a detailed artist rendering of the enigmatic yet evocative design that adorned them and are guaranteed to add an extra element of charm and mystery to any occasion.”

The Polar Beer Pint Glasses are printed on both sides (Polar Beer on one side, Dharma logo on the other) using a satin etch look to heighten the sense of wonder and enchantment of even the bast beverage.

Buy the LOST Polar Beer Pint Glasses from Ian Leino for $8.50.
