Merlot-Bot
Posted in Alcohol, Wine & Champagne by Coty | Tags: Art, Cute, Decor, Decoration, Fred Conlon, Holder, Metal, RobotI like geeky cool stuff and the Merlot-Bot falls right into that category. The bot itself kind of looks like an elongated Johnny 5 from Short Circuit (If you have no idea who I am referring to then I must be showing my age).
“Prepare yourself for a robot invasion of the cutest kind with this helpful household sculpture handmade by Utah artist Fred Conlon from recycled steel – factory discards and reclaimed parts from junk yards, construction sites and pawn shops.”

Pantone Coffee Mug
Posted in Cups and Mugs, Products by Coty | Tags: Art, Brown, Coffee, Color, PantoneI’ve featured a lot of different mugs but the Pantone Coffee Mug has got to be one of the more original ones. If you’re not familiar with Pantone, it’s a Color Matching System that allows for the standardization of color reproduction so that you can ensure that the color you want on any given product is the color you get. And of course, the Pantone Coffee Mug features different shades of the color brown to differentiate from black to creamy blends! Perfect mug for those that color consistency from their daily cup of joe.
“All you have to do is look at the color guide inside showing different shades of brown. Pick your favorite color, the one that’s the same shade as coffee mixed the way you like it, and add milk until you get the exact hue. It’s perfect! And, what if you have guests? Show them the mug, let them point out their choice of color, and the rest is child’s play.”
The Pantone coffee mug is made out of ceramics and has 4 colored lines inside corresponding to four different ways you can drink coffee: milky, regular, strong or black.
Buy the Pantone Coffee Mug from Curiosite for $19.13.
Poster Series by Albert Exergian
Posted in Artwork, Featured, Products by Coty | Tags: Art, Coffee, Exergian, Martini, Movies, Poster, TV, WhiskyNothing beats simplicity. And simplicity is exactly what Albert Exergian (Art direction for print and RGB media) accomplished. These posters are just a a taste of Exergian’s re-imagining of some popular TV shows. He stripped these shows down to their bare essentials and created contemporary poster art. I chose to share the following three if only because the central images have to do with the art of drink. Be sure to check out the rest of the posters over at Exergian.com and at the Exergian Blog.
Coffee Art by Karen Eland
Posted in Artwork, Coffee, Featured, Products by Coty | Tags: Art, Coffee, Jesus, Karen Eland, Leonardo Da Vinci, PrintKaren Eland likes coffee. Okay, Karen Eland really likes coffee. So much so that she has made a name for herself as an artist who paints in espresso. The Oregon based artist has been busy recreating some of history’s most famous paintings, including the Mona Lisa and The Last Supper. You can even find an 8 foot mural of The Last Supper hanging in one of Karen’s favorite coffee shop, Nordaggios Coffee in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Different print sizes are available and prices vary based on print size.
“Coffee art is a truly unique art form. It requires a thoughtful and delicate touch. Capturing the depth of these classic works is only possible through a slow and sophisticated process of building layers upon layers of espresso. I first thought of the idea of painting with coffee while watching rich, red-brown espresso pouring perfectly into my cup. As I enjoyed my hot latte, it occured to me that perhaps I could take my passion for coffee to a deeper level. So I dipped my brush and began painting, and to my delight, it worked beautifully.”

You wont find abstract art here. Instead, think of these as visual aid posters for THE most important things in life. Like how to use chopsticks.
While perusing the Visual Aid Shop I noticed a bunch of drink related posters. I’ve included a few of my favorites below. The posters are available in a variety of sizes up to 60 x 40 inches (1524 x 106 mm) and range in price from $8 to $68. All posters are unmounted on 190gsm Silk paper.
