Foldedpigs Anatomical Tea Cups
Posted in Cups and Mugs, Featured, Products by Coty | Tags: Anatomy, Brain, Etsy, Foldedpigs, Heart, Science, ZombieThese handmade tea cups designed by Foldedpigs are both disturbing and nerdy chic. In other words, I love them! They are cream colored restaurant style ceramic cups that have been refired to 1990 degrees with a handmade image on both sides that are fused into the glaze. The decal images are reddish brown. These are perfect for that biology major friend of yours (we all have one). Bonus points for being dishwasher & microwave safe.
Measurement: 2 1/2″h x 3 3/4″w x 4 3/4″d (with handle)

Brew Nerds Coffee
Posted in Coffee, Packaging by Coty | Tags: Cups, Doodles, Experiment, Fun, Paper, ScienceBrew Nerds Coffee is small independent coffee shop (aren’t those the best kind) based out of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. They’ve got just two locations but despite this they have been the talk of the town because of their nerdy (and very cool) paper cups and coffee packaging. And in case you were wondering, the packaging was designed by American based design firm, Mitre Agency.
“At Brew Nerds, you can order coffee in 340ml, 450ml and 570ml sizes. The thermal protection device is free. So is the sucrose – or E955, if you prefer.”
If you’ve tried the coffee from Brew Nerds let us know what you thought of it!

Laboratory Beaker Mug
Posted in Cups and Mugs, Products by Coty | Tags: Glass, Mug, ScienceI received these beaker mugs from a friend last Christmas and I absolutely love them! They are the perfect kitchen companion for any science geek. You can pick up one of these glass beauties from ThinkGeek.com for $9.99.
“If you’re awesome, you know that coffee’s heavenly taste comes from a perfect balance of acids – aliphatic, chlorogenic, and alicyclic carboxylic acids and phenolic acids, and sweet roasted carbohydrates in the form of mono and polysaccharides and sucrose, and alkaloids. Hundreds of different individual chemicals! The combinations of which depend mostly on the roast, skill of the roaster, and even the kind of brewing pot you use.
The bottom line is, your coffee mug is full of chemistry, so why are you sipping your bitter black brew from a simple and boring ceramic mug? Where’s your science, man?”
